Independent Study
SUCCURRO (East Meredith, NY)
The independent study offers a focused period of deep immersion into one’s weaving practice. This is intended for weavers with at least a basic foundation of weaving, as well as for more experienced weavers. You will have the opportunity to plan and carry out one or more projects with guided assistance exploring any number of these approaches to weaving - technical, material, conceptual, historical, ancestral, etc.
You will stay in one of the fully equipped private apartments at Succurro, and be provided a loom, basic weaving tools, and small collection of books. I will provide guidance and help based on your initial consultation to fulfill whatever weaving goals you have for your time.
